The Truth Behind the Legend: St George -- the Soldier Who Became a Saint

Well the Anti-British crack pots started early this year.

This time it was loony left wing Rise political party Cat Boyd writing in the National in a piece called

I’m proud of my Irish background – why can’t Glasgow celebrate St Patrick’s Day like everyone else?”

In which the anti-British pro IRA and anti-British -of all hues- terrorist supporter greets and bemoans the fact that Glasgow doesn’t celebrate St Patrick’s day and for once she is 100% right.

Glasgow doesn’t celebrate a day to St Patrick it Celebrates a whole bloody fortnight too it.

It soon became evident on social media that her bigoted rebel rousing she has close links too Phil Gillivan/ Mac Giolla Bhain with Phil promoting her tripe and her replying with kind regards.

You have to hand it mad Phil he sits there in Donegal like some kind of bitter IRA terrorist fanatical Charles Manson getting all these impressionable anti-British Rangers hating idiots to try and create some kind of anti-Rangers anti-British ‘Helter Skelter’ with Cat Boyd acting as Squeaky to Angela Haggerty’s, Linda Kasbian. With Jim Spence’s Steve “Clem” Grogan to Moobsy’s Leslie Van Houten.

Any way enough of these sad anti-British Rangers hating crack pots.

One question Cat Boyd’s bitter piece raised for me was the fact that why Glasgow never ever celebrate’s the patron saint of England St George’s day?

Why is there not the same political pressure to have this day celebrating Scotland’s biggest ethnic minority?

We all know the Scotch and Rye sketch about Brendan O’Malley following the singer and massive Celtic fan Frankie Miller’s Grandfather and signing for Rangers. But that’s not the punch line have a look.

The punch line is anti-English and says more of the bigoted BBC Scotland writers than anybody else.

Rangers have always a found relationship with England and indeed all the other many, many friendly countries of Her Majesty’s Commonwealth.

So that is why I propose if Glasgow City Council will not celebrate St Georges day I suggest we do tomorrow at Ibrox  at our match against Alloa Athletic.

If you have a St George’s flag bring it. If not the Union flag containing it will do. Also I expect an even extra rousing rendition of God save the Queen will be sung on numerous occasions.

I think also the Rangers board and hospitality should recognise St. George’s day especially when they are try to re capture those beautiful days of the Souness revolution 30 years ago that saw the cream of England welcomed north of the Border and cementing Rangers back as the dominate team in Scotland.

I’m 100% sure Alloa Athletic chairman Mike Mulraney and his board of directors will be 100% behind celebrating England on St.George’s day

Also who can forget celebrating St Georges day would be the greatest thank you to our wonderful manager Mark Warburton.

A man brought in by this new board and who has restored pride back into our team.

A man with a Squad down to the bare bones sent them out in that Scottish cup semi-final with hearts of Lions to out play and beat Celtic.

Yes, yes, yes Mark Warburton at the start of extra time was like King Henry V on the battlefield against the French last Sunday rallying the troops!

Once more unto the breach, dear friends, once more;
Or close the wall up with our English dead!
In peace there’s nothing so becomes a man,
As modest stillness and humility;
But when the blast of war blows in our ears,
Then imitate the action of the tiger:
Stiffen the sinews, conjure up the blood,
Disguise fair nature with hard-favoured rage:
Then lend the eye a terrible aspect;
Let it pry through the portage of the head,
Like the brass cannon; let the brow o’erwhelm it
As fearfully as doth a galled rock
O’erhang and jutty his confounded base,
Swill’d with the wild and wasteful ocean.
Now set the teeth and stretch the nostril wide;
Hold hard the breath and bend up every spirit
To his full height. On, on, you noblest English,
Whose blood is fet from fathers of war-proof!
Fathers that, like so many Alexanders,
Have in these parts from morn till even fought,
And sheathed their swords for lack of argument.
Dishonour not your mothers: now attest,
That those whom you call’d fathers did beget you.
Be copy now to men of grosser blood,
And teach them how to war. And you, good yeoman,
Whose limbs were made in England, show us here
The mettle of your pasture: let us swear
That you are worth your breeding; which I doubt not;
For there is none of you so mean and base,
That hath not noble lustre in your eyes.
I see you stand like greyhounds in the slips,
Straining upon the start. The game’s afoot:
Follow your spirit; and upon this charge,
Cry ‘God for Harry! England! and Saint George!'

If Cat Boyd didn’t know about the St. Patricks FORTNIGHT festival she might be interested to know it was overtly filled with hierarchical Roman Catholic religious events.

I for one would like to know how this squares with Cat Boyd and her Ilk when they are so at odds and anti to their lifestyles and principles. Pro-Life. LBGT gross riches, corruption, rampant unabashed misogyny etc etc.

I do not think the ilk of Cat Boyd cares. They are hypocrites whenever there is a chance to boot the boot into Great Britain.

The likes of Cat Boyd and the loony left wing where out in force yesterday hating and wishing ill on a 90 year old woman.

Yes they hate our beloved constitutional Monarch but the wont say a peep about that Absolute Monarchy that resides in the Vatican.

Going back to that Mad Phil Charles Manson analogy
